Stress Out Carnival!

Anyway, the real point of this post is to announce the second annual STRESS OUT Carnival! This event is  hosted by Active Minds, a group on campus with the goal of eliminating the stigma of mental illness. The carnival will be held on McKeldin Mall and include activities like...

Playing with puppies 
Scream for Italian Ice
Make Your Own Stress Ball
Coloring Books
Painting
Tie-Dying (bring your own shirt or buy one of ours for $2)

Psi Chi will be helping to sponsor this event! This means that it is another opportunity for you to earn service credit with Psi Chi. The activitity that Psi Chi has chosen to volunteer with is PLAYING WITH PUPPIES. So basically, you get service hour credit by hanging out with cool people and cute puppies for a couple hours on the beautiful McKeldin Mall.

Next Chapter Meeting, Service Events

Chapter Meeting: How To Choose Grad Schools!

Dr. De Los Reyes will be hosing our next chapter meeting. He wll be presenting on how to choose graduate schools and graduate school mentors. Come with questions, or just come to listen! At this meeting Psi Chi will also be giving away free GRE sample tests for students to pick up and take home. When completed, students may bring back the test to us for scoring. At a later meeting, each of the students who turned in a test will be provided with one-on-one advising frmo a Princeton Review teacher/representor on how to improve scores based on their person performance on the test.

This is all FREE, and comes along with FREE PIZZA and soda at the meetings. Normally this kind of GRE practice would cost a good bit of money so please come take advantag of this opportunity!

Service Event: Terp Service Day

We already posted about this, but we don't want you to forget!

Sign up for Terp Service Day!  The event will take place on April 20th and has a variety of locations that you can choose from to sign up for.

Service Event: Children's National Medical Center Donation Drive


Psi Chi members, our March service event has been pushed to the first week of April.  You can fulfill your service requirement by donating an item to the Children’s National Medical Center donation drive, which will take place this Wednesday, April 3rd in BPS 1142 between 5:30 and 7:00 pm.  All donation items must be new.  Please visit the links below before deciding to donate.
